Doug King together with Mike Coleman launched ‘The Merchant Commodity Fund’ in June 2004 under Aisling Analytics Pte Ltd. Aisling Analytics Pte Ltd was later renamed RCMA Asset Management Pte Ltd.

Doug spent 10 years of his career with Cargill, where he was Head of UK Grain and Non Grain Feed Ingredients business in the late 1990s before moving to become the Trading Head of Cargill’s Global Petroleum Trading business in Geneva. Between 2001 and 2003 Doug was Head of Oil Trading for Crown Resources (a subsidiary of the Russian conglomerate Alfa group) based in Switzerland and spent a year consulting for a large commodity hedge fund.

Doug graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mathematical Engineering from Loughborough University, England in 1990.
